MACCHU PICCHU TO CUSCO |

Up early to watch the sun rise and see it cast
its shadow on the ruins. Buffet breakfast is served in the hotel's restaurant.
Hiked to the Sun Gate and then to the Inca Bridge. Lunch served in the hotel. You will not have access to your roorns after 9:00 AM. However, one dayroom will be made available for you to freshen up before your train ride back to Cuzco.
Walked around MP during the pm and then back to the hotel for "tea". Took the bus back to Aguas Calientes and hooked up with the Neilsons. Sherrie and Judy went shopping and Stan and I headed out to find the missionaries (Stan had called President Weston, the mission president for the area (Weston's brother works for Stan) and Pres. Weston said to watch out for the missionaries who had only been back in the town for a couple of months.)
We walked down a backstreet and I asked one of the tourist security guys if he knew where the missionaries lived. He said he didn't but walkie talkied some one and then said to go to the end of the street and ask the security guy down there. So we headed to the end but didn't see anyone. As we turned around, a tourist security guy came up to us with a big smile on his face. Turns out he is married to a mormon and is going to be baptized this month. They have a little girl and just recently got married. He said he used to have a drinking problem but since he has become acquainted with the church, his life has changed.
He said that he knew where the missionaries were and we headed down the street. We found them in an empty cafe giving a discussion to the owner. We had a nice visit with them. The guard's name is Ronald Zanes Sosa and the missionaries' names are Elder Evans (from Sunnyvale, CA), and Elder Arangoitia (from Nazca, Peru).
Took the train back to Cusco. Very nice!
