ESPANOLA ISLAND |

We now head for the old part of the archipelago. In Punta Suarez, the rocks here reach an age around 3.5 million years. This island is the home for sea lions and boobies, iguanas and albatrosses, mockingbirds and finches. The morning calls for an exciting walk, but lava rocks and some rough terrain prevail at this site. Punta Suarez is one of those unique places in GalApagos where wildlife abounds. Every single inch of this site has something happening. Blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and gulls will be seen through out the walk. Now that all cool waters are returning, the largest seabird in Gai6pagos, the Waved Albatross, is back and has already started to mate.
Our afternoon in Gardner Bay will be an easy one, and it will give us the chance to enjoy the underwater world of GaicApagos, via snorkeling.
Those of you who just love this paradise white-coral beach can stay there until you decide is time to go back. Sea lions, Hood mockingbirds, hawks, and finches will be your companions at the beach. Our snorkeling program at a nearby islet requires experience since this is in deep water and with currents. This will include a great deal of tropical fish.
